INAUGURATION OF RURAL CAMP OF IUCDS MSW STUDENTS
In the heart of the serene, misty expanse of the tribal village Thalumkandom in Mankulam
Grama Panchayath of Idukki district, the inaugural session of a rural camp unveiled as a
collaborative effort led by Prof. Dr. P.T Baburaj and a group of passionate Master of Social
Work students of IUCDS, MG University on 20 th November 2023. Nestled within the rich
cultural tapestry of the tribal community, this initiative aimed to bridge the gap between
academia and rural realities. The camp was inaugurated by Georgekutty Augusthy, Director
KINFRA at the presence of the Hon. Director of IUCDS, Dr. P.T.Baburaj and the faculty
members and students. The occasion was enriched with the presence of the leaders of local
governing bodies.
